FOONG WAIFONG and PAT LU are founders of Pahlawan Volunteers.
We don’t know him, his family or his colleagues. But we have shed tears as we watched and read the horrible news. These tears were shed because we are ashamed of our government; a government that cannot even deliver its basic duty to deliverg safety and security to its citizens.
Can we let him die in vain? He was sacrificed while working to move the nation’s democratic system forward. When no more talented young people want to enter public service, how can we sustain a fair political system for our economic, social and cultural lives to continue?

Malasyia – y r our politicians are so shallow?. y can’t they see beyond the color of our skin?. Y everything has to be based on RACE?. AaaaaaaaaaaaaHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!.

‘Time to be free from racial issues’
KUALA LUMPUR: Looking at Barack Obama being the first African American to be elected president of the United States, MCA president Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat said it was time that Malaysians free themselves from the shackles of racial issues.
“Sadly in Malaysia, we are still bickering over the appointment of a Chinese woman as acting general manager for the Selangor State Development Corporation. It is time for us to break free from the orthodox way of doing things. In the US, it took more than 200 years for a black man to be elected president in a predominantly white country.
“Ironically, the very people in Malaysia who cheered for Obama do not think that a Chinese is deemed fit to lead PKNS,” Ong said in a statement.

PM of Malaysia
Flip on 31 May 2008 – pipeline cancelled.
Flop on 1 Nov 2008 – pipeline still on.

http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2008/7/1/nation/21700262&sec=nation
Upko president Tan Sri Bernard Dompok said the pipeline project should be stopped to encourage the downstream processing of gas pumped from offshore fields on Sabah’s west coast.
“We realise that the gas pumped from Sabah may be too little to develop a liquefied natural gas sector but there are other alternative industries such as urea and plastic manufacturing,” he told reporters after a seminar on the oil and gas industry organised by Upko Youth here yesterday.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi had reportedly told Sabah Barisan component party leaders at a meeting on May 31 that the Petronas gas pipeline from Kimanis near here to Bintulu would be stopped.
___________________________________________________________
Where is the logic?. Sabah will be deprived of the natural gas forever!.

No, no…I think you have it all wrong! RPK did not do it because the bloggers cheer him on. He did it because of his own convictions and belief that this country needs to be ruled with fairness and justice. Please do not make him to be so pathetic. He will not beg for sympathy or support…he gets it his way and no other way. He is a warrior, a fighter that will fight till the end if it means taking away his own life! He is no ordinary man…he is a true Malaysian…to be respected and honoured. His legacy will go down in history as one who dare to take on Goliath!
Give him the honour he so deserve! We salute you RPK!
No weapons form against you shall prosper because you have done what others only dream of…you have taken the road less travelled!
Let’s continue to believe something good will come out of this because we belief justice will prevail and evil has no place but to hide!
Freedom comes with a price…only few are willing to pay with their own blood!
Please people, do your part, sign the petition. That’s the least you can do for a person whom has done so much for you!.

from Malaysia Today.
Remember May 13. The government is trying to use the same methods to make people angry so that if we all take to the streets to protest, it will basically give them a free ticket to arrest more people. So we must be clear on what NOT to do. Let’s not fall into their trap.
I am being told many political party leaders are now talking about what is proper to say in public, so when commenting please exercise the same restraint.
Next, we also need to know that RPK has not associated himself to any power or position. He is just like you and me except that he means well, can swear better and can talk louder. So, there is NOTHING for the government to gain by arresting him except to perpetuate their rule and to create the emotions to help them stay in control.
People are not stupid or ignorant anymore. Today, we have the internet and mobile phones. We can always alert each other on the progress. Unlike 1969, when you are thirsty for news, you may get angry and you would go to the streets. Not today.
So stay tuned to the developments as we bring them to you. But please stay cool, keep properly informed and do not over-react.
MT team
